Somatic Bodywork in the Upstate SC

“I had my first craniosacral and somatic bodywork session with Julie a couple days ago and was honestly surprised by how much shifted. I left feeling calmer and more grounded than I have in a long time, maybe even ever. I’m very excited for my next session!

She creates a very safe, supportive space and clearly has a strong intuition for this work. I’m really grateful I found her and would definitely recommend exploring somatic bodywork with her, especially if you’re working through stress or stored trauma.” —Serena, Google Review

Serving Greenville, Spartanburg, and the Upstate

Somatic bodywork is hands-on work with patterns the body is holding—tightness, bracing, and stress in the tissues and nervous system. Sessions at Harmony At Last are fully clothed, slow, and light. This is not talk therapy and not massage. If you’re interested in trauma healing and relief from old patterns, this is the body side of that: we follow what the body has been holding, at your pace, with no forcing.

We use therapeutic imagery and dialogue with your inner wisdom taking the lead in the session- guiding your awareness to what is important for you to become aware of and offering solutions to challenges.

People often search for somatic therapy or somatic healing when they want to feel safer in their body or unwind tension that traditional modalities haven’t changed. Here that work is offered as somatic bodywork (not talk therapy), blended with craniosacral therapy in the same session. The combination of somatic bodywork layered into the craniosacral therapy session can superpower the session offering a client the opportunity to go deeper into their personal process.

Does this help me clear emotions and beliefs?

Yes- somatic bodywork does a great job at clearing old emotions, beliefs, and patterns. If something emotional or a long-held belief is sitting in the body, it can surface in a session and there are a variety of methods we can use to lift it- these include somato-emotional release using therapeutic imagery and dialogue, EFT (emotional freedom technique or tapping), or emotion code. Ultimately the choice is yours and Julie flexibly weaves in multiple modalities to support your healing journey.
